Learn Piano With Haptic Gloves
Researchers have shown that haptic gloves can be used to teach basic piano tunes by simulating the touch sequence through muscle memory (Huang, Do, and Starner, 2008). Learning an instrument is very time consuming and requires repetitive practice. The idea is to use Passive Haptic Learning (PHL) which help a student improve motor skills by teaching the muscles in your hand through vibrations to enable learning from simply wearing the gloves without the physical piano. Researchers have also tried to use haptics to teach other musical instruments like the flute. The concept can be further applied to Braille learning for blind people and improving typing skills.
